International Scholarship Winners
Continuing the Memphis World Trade Club’s tradition of honoring long-time member and supporter, Nell Baugh, on Friday, May 10, several officers and board members awarded two graduating East High School seniors $5,000 each for the Nell Baugh International Scholarship.
Congratulations to Braden and Hannah! Braden is active in REACH Memphis Program, Memphis Ambassadors Program Young People’s Division of the AME Church, and Jack and Jill of America, all while maintaining a 4.1 GPA. Braden will attend Morehouse College and plans to study supply chain management. Hannah has been active in sports, numerous civic organizations and received awards from organizations such as Keeper of the Dreams. In 2020 Hannah was named a Mid-South Hero for creating National Working Moms Day. Hannah will attend Louisiana State University in the Fall.

Nell Baugh International Scholarship Award
Established in 2002 in honor of long-time member and Memphis World Trade Club supporter Nell Baugh, we are pleased to present the Nell Baugh International Trade Scholarship Award.
For the 2020/2021 academic year, the Memphis World Trade Club is pleased to partner with the T-STEM (Transportation – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program at Memphis’ East High School. The goal is to award the scholarship to high achieving graduating seniors to advance their roles in the international trade/transportation fields.
Recipients are chosen based upon recommendations of teachers and administrators, personal interviews and projects / academic work. The award(s) will be presented in May of 2021.
